Social Attitudes of the Sixties

The Generation Gap - A war on the fashion front.

The 1960s were a decade of change in every way. Pop music reached new heights of popularity, skirts got shorter and people started thinking about pacifism.
The younger generation began to realise that they didn't have to be like their parents if they didn't want to and that they could make their own choices.
How did the older generation feel about this? Were they all left standing, or did they accept the new trends and let their children enjoy the new-found freedom?

During the 60s mankind made giant leaps and womankind decided that they weren't going to let men be the best. From Apollo 11 to feminism and hippies, the 60s had a massive amount of changes in social attitudes. The young population said 'make love not war', but what did the older population think?
